Next TEMREN meeting 19th April at 11am at ÅAU

Dear all,

welcome to the next TEMREN meeting hosted by Minority Studies at Åbo
Akademi (B205 Fiesta, Arken) on the 19th of April at 11 o’clock. The three
recently appointed assistant/associate professors will briefly present their ongoing
research projects and their evolving ideas on what
minority studies at ÅAU is and could be. Right after the meeting, in
the same lecture hall, a lunch seminar will take place. At 12.15
Aminkeng Atabong Alemanji from University of Helsinki will present his
recent doctoral thesis:

11.00-12.00: Camilla Haavisto: What is antiracism and how do
antiracist claims circulate in a hybrid media environment?
Magdalena Kmak: Conceptualising New European Minority
Pamela Slotte: On the Governance of Religion Through Law
12.15-13.45: Minority Studies Brown Bag seminar with
Aminkeng Atabong Alemanji (University of Helsinki): Antiracism
education in and out of school in Finland.

Coffee and tea will be served. Participants may bring their own lunch
to enjoy during the brown bag seminar.
